The AGIS High School (Grades 10–11) operates under a curriculum that integrates IB CP standards, the national educational standard, and unique AGIS components.
High school is a time when students need not only a strong academic foundation, but also a clear professional pathway: who do I want to become, what skills do I need, which universities/colleges suit me, what portfolio of achievements to build.
To address this need, the International Baccalaureate has developed a career-oriented programme for upper secondary students — the Career-related Programme (IB CP), which combines academic rigor with practical, career-focused learning.

AGIS received authorization for the IB Career-related Programme (IB CP) in June 2024.
Today, AGIS is the only school in Central Asia authorized to deliver the IB CP programme.
The IB CP diploma is awarded alongside a BTEC certificate, confirming college-level professional education. The programme builds a strong foundation for admission to top universities, further development in a chosen career field, and even the opportunity to begin a professional path immediately after graduation.

These subjects provide a strong academic foundation recognized worldwide. The selection of DP subjects is aligned with the student’s career pathway, which is determined through career guidance before entering high school.
Other subjects follow the national curriculum, allowing students to receive a state-recognized school certificate.

Advanced Placement (AP) is an international programme by the College Board that allows students to study subjects at university level and validate their academic performance through standardized exams.

Primary school
In elementary school from 1st to 4th grade in the IB PYP program, ATL skills are developed every day in lessons, in projects and in extracurricular activities.
Our students do not act according to instructions, but through action and experience. ATL skills help them ask questions, explore, collaborate, plan, and reflect on their progress.
Children set goals to develop their ATL skills and become more independent in learning, and most importantly, they understand how they learn and can apply these skills in any life situation. Students demonstrate mastery of all ATL skills in the 4th grade at the final PYP Exhibition project.

- Research skills are formed around the ability to ask competent research questions, work with sources, and observe academic integrity.
- Thinking in IB MYP is the ability to critically evaluate information, form an independent judgment, synthesize ideas and find solutions.
- Communication and social skills are manifested in academic writing, presentations, and joint research projects.
At MYP, ATLs become conscious, measurable, and form the student's academic independence, without which successful high school education is impossible.
In middle school from 5th to 9th grade, ATL skills become structured within the framework of IB MYP. Their development is designed by teachers in each individual discipline. ATLs are integrated into assignments and assessment criteria.

- CP students work with real-world cases, analyze risks, and develop solutions ranging from business scenarios to product promotion strategies. In this process, they actively apply communication skills through writing letters, conducting interviews, preparing reports and presentations, and develop social skills through joint projects and interaction with external organizations.
- Self-management is also becoming one of the key elements: students develop the ability to adapt, psychological stability, as well as the ability to defend their interests and professional position.
- Research skills are especially important in the framework of a Reflective Project, in which students analyze an ethical dilemma in their chosen field and form their own reasoned position.

ATL is not a separate component of learning, but a systematic tool for developing student skills in IB.
In the high grades 10-11, ATL skills are integrated into CP programs with the CP Core component, which is called "Personal and Professional Skills" (PPS). Through this component, ATL skills form students' conscious readiness for the professional world and their future careers.
