The admissions process at AGIS is aimed not only at assessing academic readiness, but also at understanding how well the school’s educational environment aligns with the needs of the child.
Admission to Astana Garden International School is a structured and transparent process designed to better understand the student and their family, identify their educational needs, and ensure a smooth and comfortable transition into the school environment.
ADMISSIONS PROCESS AT ASTANA GARDEN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
After receiving your application, an Admissions Manager will contact you to provide detailed information about the academic program, availability of places in the class, and to suggest a convenient time for a consultation and a school visit.

Step 1. APPLICATION

Step 2. CONSULTATION

STEP 3. SCHOOL TOUR
  • Kazakh language and Mathematics — for admission to the Kazakh-medium class;
Middle and High School (Grades 5–11)
Primary School (Grades 1–4)
  • Russian language, English language, and Mathematics — for admission to the Russian-English class.
  • Russian language and Mathematics — for admission to the Russian-medium class;

  • attends an entrance interview (online or offline). In the case of an online interview, the Zoom platform is used. The interview is conducted by a Mathematics teacher, an English teacher, and a homeroom teacher.

For admission to Grades 5–11, the applicant:
The interview is conducted with a primary school teacher. During the meeting, the child’s level of preparation is assessed in the following subjects:
The purpose of this stage is to better understand the student — their academic level, interests, and individual learning profile.
All applicants complete an interview by prior appointment as part of the admissions process.
Step 4. INTERVIEW AND ASSESSMENT
The results of the interview are communicated on the same day or the following day. In case of any uncertainties, a follow-up interview may be scheduled after three months.
Feedback is provided to the parents by the Admissions Manager.
Step 5. ADMISSION DECISION
  • For students with food allergies or gastrointestinal conditions, a medical report from an allergist, pediatrician, or gastroenterologist (if required)
  • PMPC (psychological-medical-pedagogical commission) report (if required)
  • Vaccination record (Form No. 063/у)
  • Child’s medical record (Form No. 026/у-3)
  • School reference/character report (if available)
  • Certificates of achievement (if available)
  • Academic transcripts from previous years (from Grade 1)
  • Student file (official format approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan)
  • 3×4 photos (2 copies)
5. Parents submit the remaining set of documents for proper student enrollment:

  • Enrollment application form from the legal guardian
  • Copy of the legal guardian’s identification document
  • Copy of the student’s identification document
  • Copy of the child’s birth certificate
  • certificate of Individual Identification Number (IIN) registration
  • residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan or a temporary residence permit
International applicants must also provide documents confirming legal grounds for пребывание in the country:
International students may apply to the school under the general admissions requirements. Admission decisions take into account the applicant’s academic level, proficiency in the language of instruction
