From the first grade, students are immersed in a learning system where English is used not only in English lessons but also in everyday play activities after school with teaching assistants.

English language in grades 1–4 at AGIS

This methodology enables:

• quickly develop reading and pronunciation skills
• improve language comprehension
• build a strong linguistic foundation

In Grade 1, students study English for 7 hours per week. Instruction is based on Singapore phonics — one of the most effective methodologies for early language acquisition.

English in grade 1 — intensive immersion

This helps children to:

• begin speaking English without fear

Immersion continues beyond formal lessons:

• a native-speaking assistant interacts with students daily
• communication takes place during playtime
• the language is used in natural communication contexts

• a comfortable pace of learning

From grade 2 onwards, AGIS implements a phased approach tailored to each student’s level.

For students with a beginner level, additional classes are provided to:

• gradually catch up with the programme
• equalize their level of english
